Product Description
these shims are 100% copper and have been cleaned and purified***Dimensions2cm x 2cm0.66mm thicknessThe thicker copper pad eliminated the need to use 2 pieces of the regular copper pads. Dimensions 2cm(Length) x 2cm(Width) 0.66mm thickness Material: Pure Copper Color: Copper Red Product Description - Copper Pad/Shim These shims are used to prevent GPU/Graphics Processor Unit/ overheating. You need to replace the original silicon pad with these high quality copper pads. They will help bring down the chipset temperature with up to 10C. This will prevent your GPU from overheating and failing. Please use these shims after video chip reflow or to prevent overheating. lease make sure when installed, that the shim lays flat on top of the GPU and it is not pressed under angle with the chip surface. You can download the free program HWMonitor and measure the chipset temperature before and after applying the copper pad on the GPU. You need to adjust the thickness by adding more shims if there is a gap between the heatsink and the chip. When adding more than one copper pad, you need to put a thin layer of thermal grease between the pads. Please note, that we do have thicker sizes available which do not require stacking. The best way to know if they were installed properly is to apply small amount of thermal grease on top of the chip /in the center of the chip/ and small amount at the top of the shim where it will make contact with the heatsink. When you screw down the heatsink it should equally spread all over the GPU contact surface and the heatsink surface.
